We already told you about Jay Electronica, but now we've added J.Period & Black Thought from the Legendary Roots Crew!

This year's edition of the Manifesto Festival Main Day on Sunday, September 26th at Yonge and Dundas Sqaure in Downtown Toronto,  will feature J.Period & Black Thought (of The Legendary Roots Crew) performing "The Live Mixtape" (Illadelph Edition) and co-headliner Jay Electronica.  This is the culmination of the 7 day long festival, so don't miss all the events leading up to this or the legendary after party taking place right after their performance!

THE ROOTS perform w/ JAY ELECTRONICA - The Roots invite Jay Electronica to perform a live rendition of "Exhibit C" at their 6th Annual Grammy Jam at the Key Club in Los Angeles on 1.30.10.

BLACK THOUGHT - Black Thought is the lead MC of the Philadelphia-based hip hop group The Roots. Thought, who co-founded The Roots with drummer ?uestlove, is widely lauded for his complex and politically aware lyrical content, and his sharply honed live performances.

JAY ELECTRONICA - Jay Electronica first produced the track, "Queens Get the Money", on the 2008 Nas album Untitled. The unconventional nature of much of his music, and the lack of conventional release methods for that music have, since 2007, made him the object of much attention. He was perhaps best known for the piece of music Act 1: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge), until the release of the Just Blaze-produced track "Exhibit C" in late 2009.

The show is free, and runs from 12PM to 11PM, and features food vendors, an arts market, workshops, live painting, and much more. For more details visit: www.themanifesto.ca/festival
