Believe Me Music Festival

A hip hop and multi-arts mini-festival for the West end community!

Manifesto crew this week met up with the gentlemen who run Believe Me Music Festival, a one-evening start-up mini-festival dedicated to artists from the West GTA, mainly Mississauga.  This years festival goes down Friday, November 25th at the Rockpile, a new concert venue that has landed in South Etobicoke to cater to music lovers in the West.

Here's a brief  breakdown of the festival from the Believe Me folks...

Three years ago, Believe Me Music was formed to counteract the exploitive nature of the current music industry. Although they come from a history of rich artistic expression, many individuals of the Diaspora community are not provided an outlet to express themselves creatively and Believe Me Music has set forth to provide an environment to foster talent and encourage artistic growth.

The Believe Me Music Festival will feature an integration of talent among a myriad of disciplines. Artist within the collective blend the passions and technical delivery of various art forms including Urban/Jazz/R&B/Spoken Word Poetry/Film and Comedy. The festival aims to promote and share the experiences of these artists in a manner that connects with all Canadians, and celebrates diversity, which has always been a foundation of this great nation.

The Festival is a one-day event and will be held at The Rockpile, which is situated on the Toronto/Mississauga city borders.
