Tanika Charles took the stage last night at El Mocambo, in a supporting slot for the Canadian debut by Nneka. The El Mo filled up early, with lots of peeps out to hear Tanika do her thing and take in the remarkable blend of class soul motown vibes, hip hop flavour, and eclectic influences that are Mz. Chawls.

Yesterday also marked the release of Tanika's EPK, a solid piece shot by Manifesto crew member Brian Lapointe that sheds some light on Tanika's background and drive for success.

The EPK follows the release of the What?What!What!? EP that was released earlier this summer.
